The Office of Residence Life is one of the largest student staff employers at Montclair State University. All students have the unique opportunity to apply for one of our many positions in our residential communities. These positions will provide you with a unique leadership role on campus. Residence Life student staff members are trained in many aspects of student development and administrative tasks. Upon graduation, staff members walk away as campus leaders with counseling, mediation, supervision, management and decision-making experience, all of which are transferable skills that become assets in any field they wish to pursue. Graduate Student Positions

The Assistant Community Director (ACD) and Peer Mentor (PM) positions are  filled annually during a process which takes place in the spring. Montclair State will interview candidates through the Mid-Atlantic Placement Conference (MAPC) and via video interviews for candidates not attending MAPC. All successful candidates must enroll in a graduate program at Montclair State University. Preference is given to candidates enrolled in the Master of Arts in Higher Education.
